• As in past years, each family is required to sign up for six volunteer credits. Some jobs are worth one credit, some two – based on the amount of time required and the difficulty of the job.
• There are plenty of spots for everyone – we let parents choose first, then fill in the remaining spots with college kids that we use volunteer buyout money to hire.
• If your schedule is limited this summer and you can only work certain meets, you will need to log on right away at 8pm to get those spots (we cannot accommodate you after the fact). If you are flexible, you don't need to rush to log on.  The early meet spots always fill the fastest.

IMPORTANT: Volunteer sign-ups will be located on our Team Calendar, so there sign-ups listed next to many events.  You will have to click each one individually to sign up.

Regular Season Meet Signups:

Champs signups:

• July 8 evening (11 & Up swimmers) 
• July 9 evening (10 & Under)

Teen Night sign-ups - We are adding a couple volunteer slots to our teen nights since we have our largest group EVER. These sign-ups will be listed under Teen Nights and not meets. They are always on Monday nights from 7-9pm.

To access a sign up from our home page, locate the Upcoming Events section in the top right corner. Click 'View All' and go to the any green JOB SIGNUP button you'd like to sign up for. The JOB SIGNUP button will not appear until right at 8pm tomorrow.

The volunteer sign-up will remain open until Sunday, May 17 at midnight – after that, it will close for the season so that we may fill the remaining open positions with college kids. If, after May 17, you find that something you signed up for does not work, you will need to make arrangements to switch with someone or send a replacement. (A replacement can be a relative, friend, babysitter, neighbor that you pay a few bucks...) We are not responsible for filling your spot should you decide to change/cancel. If you do not show for a shift you signed up for, your swimmer(s) will not be eligible to swim at champs or register for the Mustangs in subsequent seasons. There will not be any exceptions to this rule.

Our apologies for being so strict on the cancellation policy – we were more lenient back in the early days of Mustangs and the no shows/cancels were a problem, so we really do have to be strict about it. Thank you for understanding!

Sample Volunteer Sign-Up

For those of you new to all of this, if you would like to take a look at a sample sign-up (and even practice signing up and cancelling), we have a meet called ‘"PRETEND MEET" on our website that looks just like a real meet. It has all possible volunteer jobs listed. Feel free to read and play around there – you can’t mess anything up as it’s not a real meet! You can review a list of all volunteer jobs in advance. Please note: these jobs will not count for any volunteer credit.

Thanks in advance for all your volunteer help! It takes 40+ people per meet (just from our team) to make a meet happen!

One last thing -- if anyone has any interest in being our team photographer, let me know! This counts for all your volunteer points and involves taking photos at all of our meets, social activities (when you can) and senior night.  This person should have a good camera and ability to edit photos.  (You do not have to be a professional!)
