Week 7: The Final Countdown (Please read!)
It's our BUSIEST week of the season...in true Mustang style, we go ALL OUT! Please read all the way to the end so you don't miss anything...
Monday: Teen Night
Our last teen night of the season begins at 7:30pm at Verhaeghe park (park with the tractor on the south side of the neighborhood!) We've got dinner and COLOR WARS (always a fan favorite). Some tips for color wars:
- Wear clothes and shoes you do not care about, they will get messy
- If you have blonde hair, slick it back with lots of conditioner or pomade (or wear a hat or bandana!)
Service hours – if your teen needs service hours for NHS we could use their help this week! Contact Lindsay.
- 10 & Under Champs on Saturday morning, 9am
- Filing ribbons for Champs on Sunday morning, 10am
- Setting up for the banquet on Sunday afternoon, 12:30pm
Thursday: Champs Sendoff - Obstacle Course/Foam Party/Mustang Market!
We like to send our swimmers off to Champs in a big way! Since Champs begins on Friday this year, we are doing our traditional obstacle course and foam party on Thursday. Practice times are a little different (foam party by age group to follow all practices):
8U + Ponies – 9:30AM
9/10 – 10AM
11/12 – 10:30AM
Teens – 11AM
Thursday is also the last Mustang Market with some deep discounts!
Friday: No Practice/Ponies Mini-Meet
There are NO practices on Friday, but our Ponies will have their first meet vs. Wilshire Farms! We encourage all our swimmers to come cheer them on at 10am. We use our swimmers as timers and volunteers; we love it when they come help!
Friday: CHAMPS for 11 & Up
Doors open: 2:30pm for warm-ups (specific times to be assigned, stay tuned)
Meet begins: 4pm
Saturday: CHAMPS for 10 & Under
Doors open: 8am for warm-ups (specific times to be assigned)
Meet begins: 9:30am
*Exact arrival and warm-up times will be communicated later this week

SUNDAY – ‘A Splash of Orange’ Banquet
6-9pm @ BVSW – walk the “orange” carpet and take pics starting at 6pm. Dinner begins at 6:30 and awards & recognition program to follow. We end the evening with our 2025 season video!
Attire: White with a “splash” of orange
If you haven't already, please RSVP by tomorrow (Monday)! Even if you cannot make it, please let us know.

Order Mustang Yearbooks and Best Times Plaques
If you would like to order (or see more information) about the Mustang Yearbook for 2025 and/or our Best Times Plaques, please click here.
Yearbooks are nicely bound, hardcover and 50 pages of pure Mustang fun from the season. Plaques are a record of your swimmer's best times from the year. (Many Mustangs have a collection of these from all their years swimming!) Both items come in sometime in August, so that we can include Champs times and pictures from both Champs and the banquet.
