We are so proud of our Mustangs! So many great swims and an extra special send off to an amazing group of seniors -- thank you parents for ALL your help last night! Results are attached to this email and are always available in the SwimTopia app.

Disqualifications (DQ's)

DQ's are a totally normal and common thing in swimming, especially when you're new. -- they are often how kids learn the rules.  We had five full pages of DQ's last night -- ranging from our littlest 6-year-olds to a a couple of our seniors. (Totally normal for a first meet!) If your swimmer had a DQ, please tell them they are not alone.  We use them to learn and do better next time.

Specific reasons for DQ's are listed in the attached meet results and on SwimTopia. If your swimmer has any questions about DQ's, our coaches can answer them. They will review most common DQ's with swimmers during warmups on Friday.

As a parent, sometimes it's nice to understand a little more too.  This graphic does a nice job of summarizing the most common DQ's in summer swim.

Reminder: RSVP For Next Week's Meet

Reminder to get your meet RSVP and preferences in for next week by tomorrow at 5pm on our website! (It's ok if your swimmer doesn't have any preferences and wants coach to choose! Just let us know you'll be attending.) Please also let us know if you will not be attending so we don't chase you down to ask.
